love at first sight

These glasses are the perfect finish for a sophisticated or casual outfit. I love how they can go with anything you wear and it matches perfectly. I wear them with almost every outfit. The structured sides can be taken as sophisticated but it has a beach vibe to it that is really cool. These are my grab and go to glasses. I truly believe in love at first sight.

Seeing Stars

Star light, Star bright, I wish I may, I wish I might, Wear something sparkley tonight. This trend is super cute and can work with anyone just as long as you wear it right. Sparkles head-to-toe is a big no no! If you have a shirt that is all sparkles (like above) then pair it with basic jeans and killer heels that compliment the shirt. Same goes with a dress, pair it with shoes that goes with the dress. Steve Madden is the lovely designer of the heels above and whenever I saw these I knew I had to have them! If you typically do not have sparkles encorporated into your wardrobe, try adding it in every now and then.

Flat-Fronts

These two shorts are probably my go-to pair of shorts for the entire spring and summer seasons because they are so comfy. You can find them at the Old Navy stores and they come in all different material or print, from eyelet to lace or plaid. No matter how you wear them the look can be different every time so this would be a good investment in your wardrobe. These shorts above are from old navy and are super cute! Flat-Front shorts are so "in" this season. See ya later!

TOMS

Toms Shoes are the absolutely perfect eco-friendly item. I LOVE them and you can probably tell because I have 5 pairs! They are great for just throwing on an outfit and going. The colors I have above are Tyler Ramsey hand painted, red canvas, and heller canvas (left --> right). The cool, thing about the Tyler Ramsey hand-painted shoes is that not one are alike! He literally hand paints them all with different colors. My friend has some that are blue, red, and yellow. And you know what else is cool? Every one pair that you buy, they give one pair to a child in need. They are super comfortable and I suggest everyone gets a pair!

A Pure Statement

A great statement necklace looks amazing with just a plain tee-shirt and jeans. This one above was thrifted and goes great with black or red hot heels. It makes your outfit snazzy and looks good with just about everything. And the great thing about it is that all you need to do is throw on a tee and jeans with this necklace and everything will be alright!

Putty

Chanel is notorious for unique colors like this putty color above. This neutral goes with everything including browns and blacks. But since my spring resolution is to stay away from boring dark colors and go to fun colors I will be wearing this with turquoise and green. In order to do so I would need a soft color on my nails; this putty does the trick.
Off for mani's and pedi's!

Bath, Body, The Works

It is so hard to find a cute gift idea for friends that is still at a reasonable price. At Bath and Body Works there are pre-wrapped lotions, body washes, and body sprays just ready to be bought! All of their scents smell fabulous and the prices are incredible! These gifts are not just good for your friends but also for your colleagues birthday. These pictures are just a few of the many gift baskets already made and you can just grab them and go. Japanese Cherry Blossom is my personal favorite scent. Bath and Body Works is not the only one who carries cute gift ideas for friends but you can also go to The Body Shop or Victoria Secret for fresh ideas.
Happy Hunting!

Wedge On In There

One of my must-have accessories is a pair of wedges. They complete your spring or summer look with just enough flair to the outfit. You can try them out with a casual dress, tailored shorts, or just plain straight-leg jeans. You can either go with neutral color wedges to play it safe but if you want a pop of color then go with a bright and spontaneous color for the wedges. They are the perfect compliment to your spring outing or summer date. Enjoy!

French Braid With A Twist

Ever get tired of the same old French Braid? Then you might want to try this. Braid pieces of hair in the front or even using your bangs if they are long enough. Here are the instructions on how to do this style of braiding.
1.) Grab your bangs or a piece of hair in the front and beginning braiding that.
2.) Start braiding hair normally and incorporate one of the 3 pieces of hair you use into the first braid.
3.) Finish braid as a normal French braid and Voila!
There you go a quick and easy go-to hairstyle that works with any type of hair whether it is thick or thin, blonde or brunette.

Fool Proof Heels

If you are afraid to wear sky high heels then these are the perfect solution to your problem. These mid-heels distribute weight evenly and keep you sure footed. If you get a shoe that has the point in the middle of the heel (in above picture) it provides more stability rather than being in the back. Although these are Prada heels, you do not have to take a loan out just to look fashionable this season. There are several alternatives to your solution. Like these Nine West Nuncio 13 heels for 80 dollars at piperlime.com.

A Streak of Stripes

Where: jewelry party show recently

What: shirt- old navy
skirt- banana republic
shoes- target
belt- abercrombie
shades- ray ban's

Why: This bold graphic print can either be casual or dressy. But no matter which way you where it, its always eye-catching. Horizontal stripes normally make you look larger but not unless you wear it right. Pair it with a skinny belt to show off your waist and you are fine! Skinny belts are super cute especially if you layer them. Stars and stripes forever? Well maybe not forever, but at least this season!
Until next time,

{going green}

With all the things going on in our world today, It is hard to stop and think about the environment. There are several ways that you can help it like taking shorter showers, using organic makeup products, and drinking out of a reusable water bottle (not plastic). These things are simple to do and are not time consuming. You can also go on a green date! I bet this does not sound fun but you are sure to have a great time while going to a nursery and picking out a tree or a few flowers. Then you and your date can plant it together! Its a lot of work but I guarantee you will have bunches of fun digging in the dirt and bringing out your inner child.

White Jeans

I have been waiting for "white jeans season" practically all year long. You are supposedly allowed to wear them after Easter but before Labor Day. This fashion rule has been in effect for a while but I tend to apply this rule to white shoes and white shirts rather than jeans. If you pair the jeans with brown, black, grey, etc. colors then you are fine to wear them with boots in the winter and fall; but put them with bright vibrant colors and your spring and summer looks are complete! I think that white jeans are a definite investment in your spring wardrobe.
